Madonna needs to re-acquaint herself with melody. All she's been pumping out for the last decade is dance music, which ages horribly because the songwriting is always an afterthought. Pop music is what she's known for and maybe that's not what the times are calling for but who cares? Why's she trying to conform anyways? Just make good music.

She said it herself she has always been all about dance music though, her albums differentiate just in how much dance is or isn't there. But I agree, ROL or Music sounds fresher than HC or MDNA which is pretty... and yes, she should step up her song-writing
