My idea for a new addition to ATRL is kind of an enhanced version of an old update. Back when I joined, there was a little ATRL talk show kinda thing. I don't remember it a ton but there was a little individual page for aand some of the moderators would just chat with each other over microphone and broadcast it out to the site.
For this, it's pretty similar except the moderators/admins/other trusted members will be doing DJ shows. Songs will be played, people will chat and request songs (with limits, of course,) and even prizes could be won! Little competitions could be done during the shows, where a winner could get a month (or more) of ATRL+ or maybe a code to an iTunes song of their choice. Live broadcasts could be around two times a week and every show will be an event, with a ton of people coming together and tuning in. After the new server comes in, it'll be likely that we can hold these types of activities again with more space and such.
These shows would be called ATRL LIVE.
S K E T C H :
N A V I G A T I O N :
Notifications - Notifications will go out around an hour before every show with a link provided. There's also a button to go to the page on the main site.
ATRL LIVE - This will be the banner.
Listening Stream - This is the stream that'll hold the audio for each show.
Controls (stream) - The standard pause, play, stop, volume buttons. Also features a like button where you can like the song that's playing.
ATRL HOT 10 - A little top 10 chart for the most played and liked songs of the week.
Chat Room - A little chat for ATRL members only where they can discuss the show. It will be moderated.
Message Bar - Where you go to put in a message. 200 characters maximum.
List of members in chat - A list of the ATRL members currently in the chat. 250 members maximum.
Chat Controls - Buttons to show chat stats, change font/color/other things and also close the chat if needed.
B E N E F I T S :
A ton of fun for everyone.
Cures boredom.
Will be organized and professional.
The music played will introduce people to new artists.
Requesting will be big as members will want to hear their faves.
Contests for mini prizes (such as "first to pm me ___ will win ___") will get people to tune in and participate.
Encourages community bonding.
Chat will be moderated so things don't get out of hand.
Discussion will also go outside of the ATRL LIVE page as threads like "Has your fave been an ATRL Hot 10 chart topper?"
It would be #iconic and go down in ATRL history. |

Business on the internet means visitors, views and clicks, but with the huge number of websites out there, competition is tough. If ATRL were to implement a function that allows users to add tags to a thread, the site would pop up much more often in search results on sites like Google, and would thus receive much more traffic. Oop, I can't see tha pictures as I'm at school.  But all these ideas sound pretty nice. 
Hopefully none of y'all shade my entry because that is a SKETCH btw  (not a legit sketch but ya kno) Plus I spent plenty of time trying to make it look accurate to tha real ATRL.

I'm actually mixed about the ideas. they all have potential to making this site more lucrative and to attract more members to join, I would say an issue I'm having comes from what Atrl has right now and how each of the ideas can be implemented with what we have.
The newer ideas I have a problem with more implementation reasons. TWO entries didn't need that type of explanation since our site already has these features in some sense
