The public loved BTW (song) so I doubt that. Releasing ANOTHER controversial song from Alejandro to Born This Way to Judas is probably what ended her peak. Too much controversy all in all.
Eh I doubt it it fell off the charts in the blink of an eye and all the unwanted press she got for making an express yourself 2.0 really shook her
BTW (album) being half filller and not having any obvious hits didn't help. TEOG was the only song that screamed smash. If only there were more obvious smashes to keep the campaign running after Judas besides TEOG
Also all the videos were unenjoyable and uglee, some even poorly edited
The Alejandro video turned me off, as a fan, not gonna lie. Same with Judas, I don't like when she messes with religion and I'm sure there's a lot of other people that feel the same. Hopefully she won't as much in the future.

As much as I love the Fame Monster era, she really ****ed herself over, with first releasing Telephone over Monster, stalling its video release until it had already peaked, and then giving Alejandro that awful video she made controversial for no reason at all. If it weren't for her winning all those VMAs for Bad Romance and the meat dress she would've lost a lot of casual fans inbetween Alejandro and Born This Way.
