First Mariah I remember (and the first time I remember her in general) was TEOM. When she has that line "No stresssss no fightssss" i thought she was such a badass and would always picture her beating someone's ass

I found out she had an insanely impressive career after she went on TRL and started talking about the 90's.

I will never forget how just a few days after my 48th birthday, MC unleashed Vision of Love on the world. I was so slayed And then when We Belong Together debuted I thought my hearing aid was broken. But nope, she really came back with a smash hit and almost sent me into cardiac arrest

My first era I remember from her is TEOM, too.

"We Belong Together" and "Shake It Off" were literally Top 5 songs I heard everyday coming home from school in 2005. I always thought "Shake It Off" was bigger though. Looking back, Mimi was so big my mom had meltdowns over both singles.

She had a meltdown in her car talking to a friend over "We Belong Together". She was saying how she was tired of hearing the damn song everywhere.

She also got mad another time over hearing these little girls in the Dry Cleaners singing "Shake It Off" the whole time, and getting the lyrics wrong.

But oddly, I don't remember "Don't Forget About Us" at all.

I found out about "All I Want for Christmas" 2008, when I also use to hear "Touch My Body". I fell in love with AIWFCIY, but when I searched the video On Demand it was the 2000 Remix and I didn't like it when I heard it at the time.

Also, what would y'all say is Mariah's most romantic song? I wanna say We Belong Together and My All, but those are more of "I miss you" songs, while I'm looking for a "I love you" song. Like, a romantic song for someone who hasn't broken up with you. Preferably a ballad.

The first time I heard AIWFCIY it was that ghetto version with JD and Lil Bow Wow.

I heard that in like 2002/3 and loved it for so long, and only in 2008/9 realised that it was only a ratchet remix and there was a whole other song.

I remember seeing/hearing Heartbreaker ALL the time when I was like four/five, the first era I remember is TEOM, I loved every single that was out and remembered them all except for Don't Forget About Us

I discovered Mariah with "Without you" tbh BUT I started following her with "When You Believe" & "I still Believe"...I have a lot of memories with that times.

In my opinion, "My All" is her most romantic song. Such a classic!

We talked about this a few months back, how MC delivers a lot of sad love songs and so few potential wedding songs. Her positive love songs are usually pretty upbeat. My sister's wedding song was "Endless Love," so there's that. "When I Saw You" counts, I guess. And "Forever"? But I'd say her best love song is "You're Mine (Eternal)" Gift it to your loved ones on iTunes.

yeah, i noticed that she doesn't really have any positive love ballads. it's a shame, since mariah has such meaningful, emotional songs

She says she's playing YM(E) at her renewals this year. Which, come to think of it, isnt too far away.

Anyways I remember Mariah around the new millennium cuz that's when AIWFCIY kinda became relevant again! Also I think I knew who she was cuz of the Rainbow era at the time but I can't specifically remember that now.

TEOM was awesome. I was in the seventh grade and she was queen.

My first Mariah era as a fan will be this one.

I think the only song I knew before I became a Lamb was "Obsessed." I first got into her when "We Belong Together" would always come on at work and one day I came home and downloaded TEOM.
