I think she should've picked a consistent look for this era. (I know she didn't want to because as she stated, she was in a "manic" phase)

I would've liked to see a lot more of the Applause era look / Pierrot look interchanged with the DWUW Pop&B look.

Her looks just got so confusing that I doubt people even realized she had a new era going on - instead it was just Gaga being really random. Like seashells one day, Venus hot mess the next, dreads and puke the next day and then classy Versace after? Idk. Some outfits really worked but it was too rapid to connect, for me.

Yeah, that little fashion period between mid October and mid November was probably full of resentment towards Troy, especially because of the last minute single change. I still think that fashion like this would've been perfect for "Venus".



The hair is a clean version of the hair on the single cover (or the wig she had on X-Factor UK would've worked too), there's no bleached eyebrows/lashes/balls, no uncleaned baby powder spills, etc.

Anyways I actually loved all the Venus looks, BUT I hated how they were so inconsistent with the image she has been pushing in the weeks leading up to it. Her lack of consistency has been a problem for awhile now.

Another important thing is that she needs to stick with her fashion more. What I mean is wear similiar dressses for a week, similiar or same wig. Not change 5 times a day, its too much.

I know she said she doesnt see things as eras but fans and the gp do. The hairbow is only iconic cause she wore it all the time!

Q: What inspired the song Venus?
A: A lot of things inspired Venus, actually. I wrote this song when I was first thinking up ARTPOP. I actually thought of it when I went back home to be with family after surgery. I had to lay in bed for days and days. I have a book shelf next to my bed, in arms reach, and I grabbed one of the books I loved as a child. It was some book about the ocean. It had lots of photos and graphics of all types of sea creatures. I hadn’t looked in this book sense I was very little, so I pulled up Youtube and started looking up the animals in the book. There are animals in the ocean that can change colors, flash and do all sorta of things to stay alive and a light went off in my head. This is what I’ve been doing as Gaga. I’ve been dressing up, wearing plastic horns and everything to protect who I really am because I was nervous and scared that people wouldn’t like me for who I am and I needed to survive. So with ARTPOP I want to take all those crazy colors, all those designs and throw them into and album, that will help me survive.

I mean, we obviously know it's fake, considering that "Venus" was actually one of the last songs made for the album, but still, that answer would've been amazing.

She didn't make Venus last minute, she named it Venus last minute.... It was Boticelli Babe before that and she changed the song before eventually naming it to Venus

It was last minute tho. There's a video of her performing the song at some club saying "“When I was finishing ARTPOP I decided to write one more song. And this song is about a very feminine wisdom. So I told all of my producers to get their big dicks out of the room. I said: this one must be produced by a vagina.”.

She probably wrote it in September 2013.

Receipts? I've seen people say this but I've never heard Botticelli Babe straight from the horse's mouth.

She literally posted in October or so about "giving birth to Venus!!" and how some squirrels snuck onto ARTPOP. I've always gotten the impression she made it (or perhaps re-worked a previously unfinished song) after seeing how much monsters enjoyed her "Venus" Applause look.
