But do you honestly think the album is bad? Do you hear people saying Applause, DWUW & G.U.Y. are bad? Of course not everyone likes them
but its not like they are majorly disliked.
So the problem is that people are tired of her. Plus the media loves to
bring you up just to tear you down again.
They started it with the 99 cents deal, continued with BTWball when she got "fat", high and then her hip
broke. This left a bitter taste on the GP. I'm still annoyed that all newspaper talked how "fat" she got instead about her concert here... but writing "it was a fantastic concert" wont bring you headlines.
And then she was gone for almost a year again. And if you compare Applause and G.U.Y. there is no doubt in my mind that she had the wrong manager / was in a bad place.
And now the press has been on a witch hunt with her. Yes she deserves some shades cause it was messy buuuut shes still human, delivered a fantastic album (imo) and is still talented. Her die-hard fans are still left. But the GP has left her for a
good part. She just has to continue working hard and she will "repair" her image. The tour will continue to do so.
They probably thought throwing out a fun catchy song and "meaningless" fun album would do the work but they didnt see how much BTW and all the draggings damaged her brand after a while.
She just has to stay strong and try to ignore the haters as much as she can and just do her thing. Talent always wins.
