Well, a lot of the songs on Artpop already sound dated, including the current single. And Redone is actually a song writer and co-wrote all her biggest hits

Born This Way was flawless and was indeed the album of the decade, but it didn't perfrom as such, cause critics convinced people that 21 was better and more succesful. Gaga remains misunderstood. ARTPOP as a follow up was condemned.

In all seriousness DJWS proved himself to be a better producer on ARTPOP than any other, his sound is not so hard and EDM like Zedd which is just not popular anymore. Madeon also did great with Gypsy and MJH, but I think she would get the best hits with DJWS songs.

If ARTPOP was The Fame(Monster)'s follow up it would have probably slayed anything alive. But it wasn't. And I am beyond happy.

To be fair to the critics though, BTW was critically acclaimed for its fresh sound and interesting lyrics. It has the same meta score as The Fame.
