I really find this performance to be overrated. The only thing people talk about is the snake, and the snake is literally only ONE part of the performance. As a whole, it really is nothing special to watchback and it added absolutely nothing to the song. All it was was her lipsyncing to the track without adding any flavor to the song. I think her VMA performance of Oops! I Did It Again would have been a much better choice. The key thing about THAT performance was that she gave the song an edge by adding the dance breakdown. Her DWAD version of the song would have been a good choice as well because her vocals for the song have a lot of attitude. My point is that Britney made the performance DIFFERENT from the original song. Slave was just like the original song which is just plain boring. If it wasn't for the snake, you'd have a one out of 10.

WHY would she change ANYTHING about the song, it was the PREMIER OF THE SONG!!! Its not like the song had been out for 3 months and she had been performing it and it was time to change it up like the Oops performance, this was the FIRST time she performed it and the FIRST time ANYONE heard the song. And while the snake bit was talk about probably the most, that wasnt the BEST thing about this performance! It was her energy, her dancing, her PASSION!!! She gave it her all, and it showed! No part of this performance was boring. I agree with you in that I too believe Oops is the better performance (imo), but this is an EXTREMLY close 2nd.

Just because I didn't give your fave a good score does NOT mean I'm not a fair judge. I thought the performance was boring and forgettable aside from the snake and that Britney had much better options. I gave my honest opinion about every performance and I gave the scores that I thought sounded right. Sorry if that makes you pressed . I didn't like the performance, and I stated why.

Well I didn't know that was her debut of the song, but still, a performance is a performance and it did nothing for me to stand out.
