I think one very big difference between Macklemore and 2 Chainz/Hurricane Chris/Soulja Boy is that one acts like he is a revolutionary thinker changing the world with his empowering music while the others make bops and understand their place in the musical food chain. Macklemore's attitude and arrogance are more annoying than his music. His music literally has no connection to R&B or Rap... just because he's rhyming doesn't mean it's real or respected. There have been successful white rappers and successful rappers that blend multiple genres. But Macklemore is just an annoying prick who ends up deflecting recognition from those that truly deserve it
Naming every white artist who does anything remotely urban and claiming they stole it. He's racist.
I didn't claim they stole it. Miley and Macklemore are obviously lame attempts.
Robin and JT got #1 hits in 2013 off basic ass R&B that would've flopped if a black person sung "Blurred Lines" or "Suit & Tie". This is not racism, anyone with a brain realizes this.

Robin has been flopping for years with R&B music. How is your brain functioning now?

Okay? Does that change the fact "Blurred Lines" would've likely flopped with a black guy signing it?
I never said Robin's whole career was good either. But keep twisting words to continue arguments!
Who cares? What you are talking about is circumstantial. You don't know. You act like "Blurred Lines" was ALL Robin. Pharrell and T.I. had big parts in that song as well. Robin got a hit that resonated with a ton of people, for better or for worse. You're trying to make it into a racial thing when it's really not.
