Yeah, I agree, hence "She has to ride it out and be smart/strategic with how she does it."
She has to try and give herself the best chance and give people reason to want her back. i.e. be appealing.
The alternative is to do whatever she wants and wait until people are interested in that again. Both bold and kind of mainstream suicide. You have to ride the trends, or BE the trend. She was the latter and now isn't doing the former. Tough transition for phenomenons (take note Adele, Lorde etc.).

There needs to be some sort of break/complete overhaul.

It's going to be gradual and she's going to have to swallow her pride. Big time.
1. New image, new sound.
2. Ensure the music is as on trend and as mass-appealing as possible.
3. Be "pretty" all the time. No sexy ugly, no freak couture.
4. Have engaging, non off-putting, easily digestible performances and videos.
5. Brand co-promotion - use other brands to sell yours (collaborations, partnerships).
6. Relentless and effective - but not obnoxious - promo.
Specifically;
- Keep her name out there with consistent video releases and performances.
- Get major brand deals who will generate exposure for her (a la Pepsi, H&M)
- Do high profile performances (a la Glastonbury, Super Bowl)
- Collaborate strategically (i.e. Beyonce, Bruno/JT, Britney)
- Space trip
- Tour ARTPOP, release new album, then tour some more. Global promo.
And no, the parallels to Beyonce aren't coincidental. They handled the 4>BEYONCE transition well (the album campaign is flawed though IMO).

You have some pretty nice ideas, I love everything you wrote
I would love for Gaga to go more into the electronic ballad or just pure ballad sound for her next era.
A tracklist full of songs like Gypsy, Hair and The Edge Of Glory (electronic and upbeat ballads) with nice lyrics and also pure ballads like Brooklyn Nights and Dope would be good. She could serve looks like the brunette hair with floral dresses she's been doing lately and I would love some weird haute couture too but a little stripped down and cute-looking.

I love every one of your posts. I'm always looking forward to reading them. They're always so thoughtful with good, constructive criticism. Not just "she's a flop and she needs to change". I think you would be decent manager actually. And I agree with most of the things you say.

Where would you guys think its better to buy tickets for the ArtRave
Boston or NYC? Boston is much closer to where I live but would it be worth to go to the Madison Square Garden show?

And Gaga needs to make sure to not "gay it up" in her music, performances, videos and fan gathering. It's what made most people get turned off and afraid to admit they like her. Like her comment "where's all my little bottoms tonight?" at Roseland was a tad weird. (Sorry if i'm seeming offensive to anyone). G.U.Y. was a video that a lot of people liked because she was beautiful and they noticed her and not all of the shirtless guys in the background. New classy image would guarantee a great comeback.
PS: A throwback fashion era to the 60's and 70's would be amazing. People would love it like her Porter magazine pics

So today I learned that she brought the Monster Ball tour to Elliot Hall of Music at Purdue during my visit there today. She had to reschedule her performance to another date because she passed out before it.
I might be going there, but not because of Gaga.
Also, does CBS have an online feed? If so, I'd like to see that. Don't really want to use my "TV" which is really one of my computer monitors.

you guys are taking it overboard imo,
Sure she has suffered decline this era, But telling her to stop wearing bizarre clothing and stuff will not help, she'll be slammed for 'Trying to fit the mold to be successful again',
The thing that set her back this era was a lack of singles, Applause came out, then???? 5 different songs were performed on t.v. shows without a video, the GP didn't know what to look for nor where they that interested. I think it's just the songs that affected her heavily. There was no single you would hear and go THAT SHOULD BE THE LEAD SINGLE! they were all just 'standard' level tracks. She has to take some time, perhaps work with some writers such as Diane warren or even sia and plan the era out with back up plans, come up with amazing visuals such as she did in the fame monster, and then come back with massive buzz & a huge single. Gaga's differentiation from other artists is what make people love her in a certain way. Sure the u.s. market isn't her strongest at the moment, but markets such as Europe and japan love Crazy gaga. It's just a matter of song quality & choosing a STRONG first lead single.

And stick to themed albums, much more consistency.
Also I'm gonna laugh if GUY continues to perform like a flop single after the 8th
WAIT the album is still discounted right? then why is it out of the top 100

Unless she truly doesn't care about being as big anymore. At this point, it's evident we care much more about her image than she does. The thought of her changing her image and sound just to appeal to people bothers me a lot because that's exactly why I stan for her, cause she doesn't mold herself for people's standards. Unless she really wants to take a new direction, I don't see much changing to be honest. And that's fine with me, I'd rather have my fave do what they want as an artist than to not do what they want in order to be successful.

What other song would appeal to the older people that watch Letterman? Maybe acoustic Gypsy?
