I'd like to think YG is building up relationships, even if they are small appearances. It's still an opening and opportunity to expand, not just with 2NE1, but future groups also.

It'll never happen to that extent. It has a little bit already, as YG is fairly active on it no? I've definitely streamed 2NE1 and BIG BANG on Spotify before. I just can't see many other agencies following suit/that being their primary focus. Korea wants to keep their own services thriving and who can blame them?

They're not about to hand over the keys of their industry for foreigners to profit from. I'd expect an attempt an English version of MelOn before seeing them give in to Spotify. Maybe in a decade's time, or after that hypothetical attempt has failed, but now? No way. Hell, they only started using Apple in Korea recently

And even then it's not all that functional there, thanks to their antiquated software laws

Yeah, I am inclined to agree that there would be an english version of Melon before they use Spotify.

I hear you can't even use Google Maps when you're in Korea. There's no street view and the furthest it zooms in is like 70%. Much like how we see North Korea on it (if like me, you've gotten bored/curious to look that up). You gotta download Daum's Map service for all of that. Youtube is also severely laggy there, despite SK having the fasted internet speed in the world... Koreans don't play, they definitely want their services used primarily. And based off that, I don't see them willingly going to Spotify, to trump their homemade streaming services.

But like I said, I can't really blame them. I think it's admirable (and a little too much, but more admirable). Too many "lessor" countries simply allow foreign services to rule their own land. SK has plenty to offer, so they should hold their own really.

JYP would be involved with anything associated with the West tho

I think there's a few mini's here and there. But I definitely remember there never being any Wonder Girls on there, so I dunno...

I like the song and I enjoyed the none white box set used for the video but would rather have KSY and Mino in the video rather than random westerners

Are you kidding? Dream Girl is severely overrated by most Shawols, and the majority of my last.fm friends have it in their top 5 most played SHINee songs.

When I say 'severely' I don't mean that they praise it to the high heavens, more that there's nothing special in the slightest about the song, sans it's pretty good chorus.

I mean, it's not my favorite SHINee song but I was just having a moment to it !!!!!!

This could've came on from looking at pictures of my baby Minho and I was really just feeling it.
