I havent watched the AMA performance or the MTWM performance with Ceelo since the first time ive seen them. I try to avoid those two for obvious reasons

All I remember of that LTBL performance was the mono brow wig and christina singing "what hey say lets go" the entire time while the background dancers sang the actual lyrics

I don't want to remember the AMA's at all and I'll continue to pretend that mess never happened

And then her 5-second cameo during Pitbull's performance

And exactly a year after that mess happened, she goes to the same award show looking like a goddess, serving her best vocals since the 'Bionic' era and sending her song straight to #1 on iTunes

Some of the stans were fuming about her lipping the lotus intro just after that woman introduced Christina and referred to her as the voice of her generation if I remember

Guys, do you think if she had changed the title of "Lotus Intro" to simply "Lotus," things would have been different? I mean, no one cares about intros so it didn't sell on its own. But if it was recognized as a full track, which it is, it might have been more recognized.

well did anyone notice Bionic's intro? I still listen to that on a regular basis

'Lotus' intro could have worked as a single if it had a chorus and a radio edit without the spoken part (it's flawless, but just for the fans)

I don't think it would have made a difference in sales. You really need radio for anything to take off, so unless it got radio treatment, I don't think it could take off on its own.

But it really could work as a single I think. It seems to be a track that gets a generally good reception. And dance/electronic music has taken a more alternative slant in the mainstream lately. Something like Lotus Intro would be perfect for today's climate as opposed to when it came out or even a year ago.

But just on a personal note, I don't like it when tracks and albums have the same name. It gets confusing. So I'm glad the track is "Lotus Intro" and not just "Lotus" lol

Yeah, I wasn't really saying for sure for it to be a single. But I even mean downloads. I mean typically the first track of an album, if it wasn't a single, gets a big boost on itunes when the album is released. LI didn't really get that, and I was saying because it was an intro. Skipped over etc. If it was seen as a legit track, I think it would have gone far... At least further than LTBL which didn't take off whatsoever.

Remember when JAF got like #13 or so lol on itunes. Ohhh how we were confident lol. idk why they didnt release a video that damn week... I mean really. YB was dead and that would have been perfect. Videos help album sales too.

Anyway lol, rambling yet again on X's career.
