I think the confusion is between the lyrics and the production for some people.

For me, a bop is song with a really nice beat and few here and there quotable lyrics but isn't generally impressive or the greatest, lyrically. That is what 2 Chainz serves most of the time, for me.

A prime example, 2 Chainz's "I'm Different" or Nicki's "Stupid Hoe"

It's not near his best, Jay listed it as #4 or 5 or something of all his albums. His album is STILL better than most rap albums released in 2013.
