Y'all truly just look pressed AF when y'all try to refute Beyoncé and this album. It happened, it was amazing, and that's never gonna change. Maybe some of y'all should start stanning for people who do innovative things with music instead of 'artists' who constantly make stale and legitimately overrated records. BEYONCÉ wasn't one of them though so I sleep easy, unlike some of y'all clearly.

I finally got into unapologetic in full. Obviously i was aware of Diamonds & stay and the forgettable singles that followed but my God, loveeee song is in a class of its own as is love without tragedy. That shd've been a full song. I enjoy almost every song bar about 3 or so

She's fared better with critics than some other pop singers for sure but I wouldn't necessarily say "was always a critical darling". She needs more consistency to be that. If DIL and I Am...'s metacritic scores weren't in the low 60s, I'll agree.

It's not even just Metacritic, though. Her 17 Grammys & singles being declared the best of the decade also contribute to her critical darling status.

It's a good album. It's not my favorite album but I wouldn't call it over rated. There is always someone calling successful music over rated just cause they didn't like it.
