It's hard to know with Bey. Her release methods are unconventional (and dare I say...annoying). The song could smash on one format then be paid absolute dust on another.

Another talented musician with average music.

I've noticed that most ultra-talented artists (P!nk, Miguel, Adele, Taylor, Bruno) always do the same themes and genres and stretch them on their whole career. Like, they might sell well but their music quality suffers so bad.

I mean, Britney, Ke$ha, Madonna and Rihanna combined are less talented than any two names above but I can name any's good singles and they defecate on the former lists discography. Sometimes you need an ear for good music, not just the voice.

The songs on Beyoncé are not the type that will be all over radio and sell 6 million digital copies, and I told people months ago. "XO" sounded like one of those songs, but that didn't happen and all of her other songs are way too urban or "alternative"-sounding to do any damage. I bet she is content with the success it has now. 1.8 million in the US and 3.1 million WW and counting. The only female artist of her time that has done better is P!nk.
