Madonna knew coming in she is no supreme talent but she was smart enough to align herself & work hard with supreme talents (producers, designers, managers, dancers) to make up for her average singing & dancing ability. I don't think she's insecure about her place in music at all.

I think there's only one thing she's insecure and it's acting. Being embraced by Hwood and becoming a movie star is the one thing she wanted most but never got.

Having success outside of the Anglosphere mostly means that your music is actually good. Everyone agrees that people who only speak English have worse music taste than people who are more cultured. I spend hundreds of dollars to see my favorite DJs live. I would NEVER do that for the pop girls (sans Bey, Legend, and old Brit).

They are 19 million times more talented than these pop girls & their shows are a billion times funner.
