^ EXCACTLY. Obviously no one's getting sick of Rihanna, why would they? She makes nothing but GREAT MUSIC, and that's why she keeps getting hits. It would be overkill if they all flopped.

Rihanna is making hits because she's one of the popular females. Its funny to say but Beyonce and Ciara stole Janet's light when they did their solo albums (Bee I mean) and Ciara came out. Now they're both not able to produce hits, and Rihanna is the one making the hits.
Sadly Umbrella did only go to #2 on Pop, I would love to know what was in front of her, because I doubt that it will ever be as memorable of a hit as Umbrella was
Ciara came out when nobody was around, Beyonce was doing her thing with DC3 and RIhanna wasn't around. Then RIhanna came out while Ciara & Beyonce were gone and she stole thier fame.

I just searched. Justin Timberlake's "Summer Love" was #1 while "Umbrella" was #2. It had a low bullet, so it looked like she was about to pass him, but then "Big Girls Don't Cry" crept up on her, then her bullet (Rihanna) suddenly dropped, causing Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girl" to trample her.
So an unofficial single stopped her from #1.
