I'll give you that Applause doesn't have huge-smash appeal like JD and PF, and I'll also give you that she could've promoted it a lot more and it would've been a bigger hit, but all things considered, it was a success. And definitely not a flop.

Like others here have said, most of the GP have no idea how big of a hit Applause was. They hear it on the radio constantly, they assume it's a hit. Everyone associates applause with Gaga nowadays. Everyone knows this song.

I don't care about my country. France isn't even a huge market. And ARTPOP sells well.

You said it flopped WW. Yet Applause has sold more than 4,200,000 worldwide. I honestly don't think it's a flop It's pretty good.
