Spill that tea. 
Not to mention we can't forget Sutton's Broadway run starts this week and doesn't end till early August with almost no downtime. If the show gets picked up in May, they're already going to have to wait for Sutton, they likely won't wait for H. Her album will either have to come out before mid-August, or in Nov/Dec.

I know a lot of people here, is here for Younger. But I'm not here at all for Younger.
I mean, I'm more anxious for an album than for a TV show or a movie. I want Younger to get CANCELLED  .
Yeah It's really mean of me, but I don't like the idea of being on TV Land. The Fox show was a better idea imo.
And like infidelity said, If Younger gets picked up, she'll more than likely be filming during summer/fall, and that means:
1. The album will be pushed back to 2015 or November/December 2014.
2. The album will have BAD promotion.
The movie is not a bad idea tho.

I think November/December is most likely, but if her schedule becomes too chaotic while filming Younger, I'd personally prefer her to release the album early next year where she's bound to give it her all.

You guys are making me nervous
If all those acting stuff are going to delay album, than I hope none of them works out  It's funny, cause when I think of her career in the future, I'd like for her to be the most succesfull and known as an actress. But right now I'm desperate for new music. She can do acting later.
She's already waited TOO long for comeback, she can't wait any longer, if she really wants to come back. It'd be nice if she'd do something fans prefer for a change

Yeah, a lot of people aren't here for quarter one releases which I find strange. Taylor Swift and One Direction are expected to release in quarter 4 and I don't want to see her go up against them lol.

Quarter 4 means black friday, christmas sales, etc. Not a bad option tho But yeah Taylor and One Direction would block ha future #1 album

Well Q1 is a notoriously bad time for female pop star's to release. Sales crash and burn in that time period, and while you have a better chance at debuting in the top 2, the lack of sales hurts badly.
I mean Dignity was released just outside of the 1st quarter (in the 2nd) and look how that did. If it had been released in the 4th quarter, she would have probably sailed over 500k and been closer to 600k - 700k had the era come and gone as it did in reality.

I know this is an unpopular thought: the album clearly needs to come out in 2015 and not this year.

You've always been more for acting anyway though.
If we have to wait till 2015 then I'm hoping for summer. Whether y'all like it or not, a 1st quarter release is not a good idea unless she's main priority and they don't let the album die after two singles.

I really haven't been here more for acting, I have been here for EVERYTHING concerning her career (minus the books and the fashion lines) so I don't know why you always say that.
It's just thinking in a realistic way, Hilary's main problem with Hollywood Records was that she got piss poor promo, why do fans want an album rushed out if Hilary isn't going to have the time to properly promote it? It makes no sense at all. November and December are going to be packed with album releases from big artists and Hilary is going to be overshadowed, I don't want that to happen at all, so she just needs to wait until next year.
What she should do is realize a promo single and promote that as best as she can.

Wow, I never knew this. Perhaps that's why Aly & AJ decided to scrap the idea of releasing an EP during this years first quarter. It may also explain why Dignity tanked in Australia. It wasn't promoted which is another factor, but I've realized now a lot of Australia's successful artists never release during first quarter as well.

But ANY label, Hollywood Records or not, is going to put an end to an album that isn't selling anymore after a few months. There is plenty of precedence to show that 1st quarter releases from female pop stars simply don't work out. After two or three singles, the era is basically done. Do you really want that A? For her to release an album in January or February and the era to be done by September/October because of poor album sales?
Dignity already suffered from having no single to push it in the fall of 2007 during the holidays, I didn't know that was the goal for this album too.

Sis, I didn't give a set date for when I wanted the album to be released, I just said it needs to be pushed back to next year. Anyway, I am not going to really worry about it, before worrying about the time frame that the album comes out we need to be getting label news, that is all I am focused on right now.

I'm not worried about whether or not she gets the movie role because it's most likely the one that Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro are set to star in and I'm assuming that she would have a small role if she got the part so her filming schedule wouldn't be too crazy. She'd probably play a friend of Anne Hathaway's or something. Unless, Anne Hathaway dropped out of the movie and Hilary tried out for the role Anne was attached to. Which wouldn't be surprising because Reese Witherspoon dropped out of the role and then Anne took it.
I'm more worried about Younger's filming schedule. I'm really excited for Younger, but she's gonna probably be filming it for a couple of months if it gets picked up to series. Like you guys said, she needs to do LOTS of promotion if she wants the music to do well and with Younger filming in August or so she won't be able to if she wants to release the album in the fall.
I'm not good with what release periods are the best but going off of what you guys said, this year's 4th quarter isn't a great time to release because a lot of popular artists are releasing then, but Q1 isn't a good time to release either. So the only other option would be to release it later next year and I don't feel like waiting that long. I obviously could wait since we've all waited 7 years, but I'd prefer not to
I agree with Stepfon that she should release a teaser single to hold us over tho 
Hilary was finally sounding like she was gonna focus on music and put acting on the backburner. She even said it in several interviews, but then all of a sudden she's booking/shooting pilots for TvLand and auditioning for movie roles

Technically speaking she has been solidly working on the album for a year now. If she doesn't land the film role, I suggest she takes the end of Spring and all of Summer to her advantage music wise.

I'm happy that she sure is on her way to make A HUGE COMEBACK. The album, a new comedy series, FOD and possibly this new movie role. Like most of you, I was abit worried when she picked up tht role on Younger because she sounded like she was going to focus 100% on music this year. She even told Josh in the interview that there isnt much going on in acting.
Anyways, if she does want to do acting & singing at the same time for the first time in 7 years, I hope its big, organized and not another self-titled era. She had bunch of movies coming out that year and the record sales was not that impressive. It only had one single. We dont want that to happen again dont we?

I agree with you! It is a short role for Hilary for that movie with Anna Hathaway (if she gets the role.) I don't think it's a main role, and I think it won't be more then one month filming for her. If she gets the role that will bring Hilary back on track! Well we are supposed to get a single by April-June I guess that is what we are focused on right now, because I think most of the fans now don't care about the movies/series she does because we all want music.
We are all waiting for a label announcement and we all hope that is going to happen this month. With a label announcement there would be (I think) also a release date for her single or teaser single. She can do also the same with Dignity to release a (Play With Fire) teaser single. I don't really think that is going to happen. If Younger get's picked up indeed it will be not good for her to bring her album out in fall unless.... maybe she also can talk at that time with the director to have short parts or maybe Younger has only 10 episodes so they only need to film 9 episodes. And series shoot episodes in like 2 days most of the time so she only needs a month or so to film it. And then she can just bring the album out and promote the album in Sept/Oct.
What we also forget is that maybe Hilary isn't bringing a album out but they want to release a EP. (I really hope that they don't do that) In that case we have a short tease this year what the album is be like and she brings out the full album next year. (Worst scenario ever!)
Also don't forget that Hilary knows how much we want her to bring out music. I think she will not disappoint us with that and that she is not getting roles that brings her music in danger. Back in 2004 she all did the same filming three movies and being in studio, bring out a album and single and also do promotions. I don't think that will be the case in 2014 because she also has Luca. I am here still for a 2014 single and album release. I am not good at sale ratings but I do know you have to bring a album out while there is not much other artist that release there albums.
