What kinda insecure mess? you must be one of those ****** she was talking about.
So Nicki comes at all the scrubs out there and little boys like Trey Songz make a diss response?.
You have to degrade women to show off that you're not one of those ****** while actually doing so anyway?

I don't understand what was the point of a male response when they already do that in all their respective songs

. I don't care about the subject matter of lookin I just find the song wack, i'm not offended nor feel that what she was talking about was in any way wrong.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Beyoncé Im saying that she is not a feminist. Good for Bey if she likes to give BJs but she's just reinforcing the belief that women are supposed to pleasure men, not themselves. I'm not saying she SHOULD of been fully clothed at the Grammys, I'm saying she's just reinforcing that in order to sell their sexuality women have to look hot (appealing to men) while doing so while Jay Z can do it while fully clothed. That's not equality. Good for Beyoncé if she likes wearing lingerie, but why doesn't she just wear it at home instead of in front of millions of viewers. It's not like lingerie is extremely comfy or warm. She likes it because men tell her she looks good when she wears it. I beyomce is just reinforcing that women can be great, as long as they acknowledge that their 2nd to men.
Just spitballing though, I could very possibly be wrong.

I am too lazy to go back more than one page so I will just answer it here since this is the oldest post

The problem with feminism is many people don't understand the meaning of it at all, it's all for the equality of women. What comes with equality is for women to make choices, if a woman wants to be submissive for a man. As long as that is indeed her choice there is nothing wrong wiht it at all. Just because you choose to be submissive for some one doesn't mean you aren't empowered in other ways we are not one dimensional human beings.
And this is were I think you are naive in response to the bold. Why does when someone want to look good or show skin they are trying to appeal to a wide demographic?? When I wear my speedo when I go swimming and I look good in, i'm not thinking about whether everyone there is eyeing me down. I show skin and do sexual things/be submissive for the right people because well I want to. The same can apply to Bey you don't really know her like that to say she commits actions.
Lastly what is wrong with thinking that something is sexy if it fit's into the hetero normative standard??
If she is so reinforcing that men should be pleasured above women please explain the lyrics to Blow and No Angel where she tells the man to please her how she wants it??
