Well it went Platinum, did well on Pop radio, and peaked right outside the Top 10 without a video. If it had a video, the streaming points would have more than likely pushed it into the Top 10. I don't know if it would have saved the era given the messiness behind the scenes, but the song did moderately well without a video so it would have done better with one.

She's had plenty of #1 albums around the PLANET so the claim stands.
