omg at Gag's label reporting fake numbers to try and cover up the embarrassment. This era is so tragically hilarious to witness, and it only gets better.
Whenever Wherever completely punched out Slave 4 Yall
They both copied each other. Not a Girl video had the mountaintop scene mirroring WW and Shakira was def. marketed as the Latina Britney. Laundry Service was not her first album. Her image was diff. before that album
Britney dyed her hair before that and S4U and WW came around the same time.
Please, it was obvious they tried to make her look more like Britney to push her to the US market, like they did with pretty much every popstar until they started pushing the 'anti-Britney' image
Not Shakira. They both made that transition at the same time.
The ones marketed around Britney were hasbeens by like 2004 or 2005.

Hmm at lot of people accused her of this but I think it was mainly because of her look, not her actual performance style or music. Laundry Service isn't bubblegum pop, and she never had choreo with backup dancers during that era like Britney. She was more of a pop rock girl who had little dance breaks.
bonus: Shakira nailing the "bleached blonde + huge glasses" look Gaga then sported 8 years later
Stop trying to make Britney's impact look more impressive. She had a lot to do with the teen pop phase not with the blond popstar phase. That was Madonna's lane.
