[Migrate]

Last week I was at this party and there was this guy who I'm pretty sure was hitting on me. He followed me around the whole time trying to make eye contact and had that unmistakable look in his eyes when I looked at him. I actually found him kinda cute, but being the shy person that I was, I tried to avert his pursuit and just didn't respond. I didn't even know why I did that . I have never made a move on anyone in my life and have never responded to anyone who's interested in me, because I'm just so helplessly shy when it comes to romantic situations.

Does any of you have the same problem? What advice do you have for people like us? I'm so worried that I will never have a relationship with anyone if this continues .

Yeah. I'm scared of rejection and I really need to get over it. Generally I don't care about what people think of me but when I find someone to be very attractive I get nervous and shy around them and wait for them to make the first move / approach me

It's really awkward for me when someone just stares at me, attractive or not I give them an odd look
If it's a party, though, I just go talk to them.

If you're not gonna hit on them, be the one sending hints. Guys, at least I, kinda need some very obvious clues for them to try it on other guys. So stare, smile, whatever, make sure that they know you're interested.

And if you're certain someone's looking at you/likes you, just force yourself to be brave enough to approach them. Worst thing that can happen is a rejection - and nobody is above being rejected. And even if you were to be rejected on a superficial level, at least you know he ain't worth it
