She got her record deal by singing. Got HUGE because of her singing and continued to sell records of her singing. People didn't buy and listen to her CD's for the dancing on them.

Come for her lip syncing all you want but Britney's singing and vocals were always integral to her huge career. To try and deny that is backwards.

I don't think people bought Britney's CD for her voice either. It's more the image and the production. Her voice goes well with it but I doubt it's a selling point for most consumers.

Pretty much this. Britney just sits there or decides to get up, maybe sway around a little, and lip an entire ballad. There's only about 10 minutes in an entire Britney show where she really gets into it and dances while using vocals from 1999.
