Why are you defending him? A producer always comes up with the rough intrumental, some hooks and things. Its his production that is on the album the most. Of course he is the one to blame. A good producer would not allow Gaga to ruin Manicure, a good producer would not allow Gaga to ruin Sexxx Dreams......
To the mixtape producer his defense, gaga would probably fire him if he disagreed with her on something. Since no one else is dumb enough to hire him, DJWS probably just shut up while he let Gaga ruin the already mediocre tracks.

Yes, but the producer comes up with the sound, no? And then the artist just adds something or take off something.. And telling an artist that something is not good enough or needs to be changed is not like controlling him.
I mean, we could actually choose our own single. Gypsy? Manicure? It could be like, our sign of rebellion against Gaga and Interscope.
The only track charting, and the only (arguably) track with potential, Gypslay, of course.
