I heard as well but hardware wise it is solid. Not as solid as the Lumia but pretty good deal for the price now if you ask me.

It's funny how the 8X was sold at a higher price than the Lumia 920 before and look at them now, the 8x dropped SO MUCH while the price of the 920 had dropped, it was gradual and not dramatic.

And it looks really hot too. + It's lighter and slimmer than the 920 and comes in a variety of colors.

Did anyone actually buy the ATIV S? Like, it has no redeeming quality: HTC makes better audio and Nokia better cameras, both completely dump on it in terms of design.

I know. I really love the 8X's design. It's gorgeous. My colleague has one and it looks fantastic.

In my country, it's just 1000 pesos (25 USD) cheaper than a Lumia 520

External storage and bigger screen. Plus among the original WP8 devices, the ATIV has the better battery life by far according to reviews.

I actually considered that before but the horrible audio quality is a turn off.

Verizon needs to get off it's high horse and stop trying to control phones. For the company that basically kickstarted Android with Droids to rival the iPhone when it didn't have it. They sure do like to **** over Androids by delaying updates and not carrying the flagship Nexus lines because they want to put their ****** bloatware/skins on the device.

People want stock Android. Yeah, I'll buy an S4, but you can guarantee that within an hour of me being home, it'll be rooted and flashed with the Google Play Edition S4 rom for Verizon.

Stock Android>>>>>>>All those ugly ass skins like Touch Wiz and Sense.

I shouldn't have to go through all this work to get stock Android on the largest wireless network in America....

Honestly wish I had enough money/made enough money to switch to AT&T.

Nah. Samsung really half-assed it. It's just a reskinned Galaxy S3 with WP8 installed instead of Android.

I kinda stopped flashing over my phones a while back, unless REALLY necessary

Stock Android cant make use of the hardware capabilities like the software it came with. All those nicities (High quality screen, HD camera) get thrown out the window too.

I have the Ativ S. Audio quality is good, screen is gorgeous AMOLED, superior to Lumias, microSD, removable battery, and battery life is astounding. ***** all over Lumias tbqh.

My 925 has AMOLED . And yes, it *****, fits WP in general.
But yes, microSD and removable battery is usually what Samsung has against HTC too (in Android also)
The battery life is excellent, all WPs give that.

I'm enjoying my camera plus the 50+ exlusive Nokia apps though.

The 925 is really a gorgeous device, and Nokia is excellent, just the ATIV S could have rivalled the sales of the Lumia 920 had Samsung bothered to promote it.
