Aquí en Bolívar está igual, aunque mi ciudad se ha mantenido relativamente pacífica, tengo que reconocer que los militares aquí (a excepción de algunos incidentes) no han reprimido a las protestas, pero no creo que esta tensa calma dure mucho..

Maduro has bought them with plenty of cheap oil. These are the same presidents that came to Caracas to crown Maduro when he won last year with a 220,000 vote lead after plenty of proof of fraud. I bet that IF Maduro was ousted by a coup d'etat they will be the first to defend him.

The US has been one of the few countries alongside Spain and Canada to support us. But I feel the US will try to stay away from this mess in fear of hurting the Opposition's image. It may be hard to believe but the anti-American hate speech by Chavez has sort of ingrained itself in the common Venezuelan's consciousness.

Nobody will do absolutely ANYTHING to help us because Chavez was smart enough to make powerful allies for his movement in Iran, Cuba, most of Latin America, Saudi Arabia, The EUA, China, Russia, etc.

Alvaro Uribe is not the current president of Colombia, it's Juan Manuel Santos, an ally of Maduro and Castro because of peace talks in Habana with FARC.
