you just can't always look positive side of her music . She had us all thinking that she is done with TD candy look and music . Don't you remember that she buried california girlz costume and blue wig ? Last year around june / july she was dressing up like a rock chick and than she serves Roar - teen pop song with teen video - i was disappointed especially because i've been a fan since OOTB . Than prism came out , and it is a small step away from TD but hey i was happy because we finally have something new . And i'm not saying that i dont like PRISM but honestly , i was expecting more songs like Choose your battles, It takes two , DH , Uncle , WOA certainly not TIHWD and IT mess . And now judging by the trailer she is once again that TGIF girl , same girl she was trying to "escape " from
i know that the video will be good but she is sometimes "bipolar" in her decisions , and she wants to be taken serous but she is doing everything opposite
i think you are putting her on too high a pedestal at this very moment. Let Katy be Katy Perry! She is still young. She has the next 10 years to put out serious videos. I feel this video will be great in the fact that it's once again going to inject that unique Katy humor into something everyone and their mother thought to be serious. I'd rather have quirky Katy then Unconditionally Katy, which no one was here for ..... yet.

I think so too. I don't get the meltdowns. Maybe it's not what some were expecting, but isn't that what makes music and artistry great, thinking outside the box? This screams her personality and quirkiness and she's honestly the best at this type of thing. And it looks like it has a storyline, something Uncle lacked. People adore Katy's personality and if it shows in the video, which I think it will, they will eat this video up.

She releases this Candygypt trailer today to troll her fans and then next week she releases a full on Egyptian Mummification video, with nothing censored and tweets an hour later "Well, y'all asked for Derk.". Maybe make it an alive-Mummification for extra Derk points.

I understand what you mean, but at the same time I don't think Katy meant any of that to be taken literally. Even all the trailers with the crying girls at the funeral and the burning wig was tongue in cheek. People created an image in their own mind of what they wanted her to be this era. When it didn't happen, some were disappointed. This is a quote from Katy herself in December:
