"Happy" will be relegated to the trash after radio overuses it and the massive BEATS promo campaign ends. The only thing I like about the song is it's finally giving Pharrell success after years of being massively underrated.

Pharrell will be remembered for his great work, not "Happy"

IDK. You just seem really personally affected by the song's success. Personally, I play this song every morning or any time I am a bit down and the song makes me feel invincible. This is the feeling it's giving people. You are right the song may not be groundbreaking or changing the worlds views on anything, but it s definitely a positive track that IS affecting lives. Whether it affects yours or make you happy is personal, but there are people who are being affected by this track.

Hmm, so 1 Grammy-fueled 300k week for Dark Horse.
Will it get 1 or more video-fueled ones?

"Happy" will go down in history as the song that made millions around the world come together and celebrate life. From the videos from country to country, school to school, nationality to nationality and all of the commercials...this will definitely have more of a lasting impact.

Mmm...if one wanted to argue this about this song, someone else could argue it about a bunch of other songs. Like Call Me Maybe. And others would easily find a way to say "plz, forgotten before this decade's over."

The BRIT awards is in the United Kingdom... It will have an effect on the UK Charts, not very likely that it will give those performers a boost on the US HOT 100

Look at what "Happy" is doing on a bigger scale than charts right now. This song is actually huge. People are creating their own versions of the video in just about ever country. People know this song from the children all the way to senior citizens. This is actually a big single. It's good vibes and it is putting a smile on a face one person at a time. Stop bashing something just because it may top a chart.

Can you specifically tell who's that katy perry fan you are talking because I don't see one katycat who disses happy? We get it. For you "happy" is iconic to you. No need to shove it in our throat. Get over with it.

I don't think it has a weak melody. It's the repetitive lyrics that prevent me from really liking the song, if there was something else than one chorus of 4 lines being repeated through 80% of the song then it would be a lot better.

The one who thanked God for it blocking the "awful" song or whatever was stated on page 1. That's ONE.
