It wasn't just slightly off-topic, it was the focus of your post. You just included some little extra info at the bottom to secure the "I'm on-topic" argument.

I realize he was talking about Pokemon at the end and I'm sure whoever warned the post did as well. Writing a little snippet at the end doesn't automatically make the rest of the off-topic post void.
