Maybe im not making myself clear...but the internet blacks complain about the type of women get recognition for but in general we barely commend the ones that do get.other roles and theyre called sellouts
Basically theres never any winning when it comes to blacks...its either youre tyler perry/slave or "appealing to the whites"
Bottomline: waiting to exhale and dreamgirls come onece every decade...it can go both ways

We commend them just fine for all roles if they are good. People do have a point, the ACADEMY only awards black actresses who play slaves, maids, sleep with a white man, or do drugs. That has nothing to do with us, we dont choose the nominees and while we are ok with those roles being played because they represent apart of history we still have the right to call the academy out on them.
This isn't something new, this is since the beginning of the show. The first black actress to win an Academy Award played a maid in one of the most racist films in history. People have a point when they say the academy only takes notice when they want, dont fool yourself into thinking anything else.

the only proper solution is to create a Black version of the Academy Awards
And Tyler Perry would still win

Oh, I don't think they really care when they are still pushing Platinum albums and multi-platinum singles.

Shouldn't the albums be multi-platinum too?
