Well, with the right single, it may help album sales pick up a biT. But that would need to be combined with a permanent iTunes discount because people are not paying $15 for Gaga. She is not Beyonce and 17 music videos weren't included with the album. We'll just have to wait. At this point, I just want platinum in the US.

yeah he did, but that also could mean they are working on either:
- ARTPOP: The Remix
- Tour Interludes
- Tour versions
etc.

Gaga raked in her millions for Interscope. Maybe, just maybe, the label is letting her have her special project. If she says Interscope is 100% supportive of seeing ARTPOP through, then I believe her.

Naivety aside, Lady Gaga wants to chart and sell and be commercially successful. ARTPOP doesn't have a chance of doing what her past efforts did on that front, but it should be doing a lot better than it currently is due to Gaga not promoting it at all. Interscope let Gaga make the music she wants, but there's nobody at her label or the Haus/Team Gaga that doesn't want this album to pick up commercially.

I've already accepted she's an indie flop now. Hope for the best but expect the worst chartwise. I'll be happy with a good music video and a good performance that doesn't look cheap and tacky for once

But this is a music album we're talking about, it's very unusual for an album (of an established artist) to repeak in term of momentum after having dropped out of the top50. One does not simply abandon his album for months and then suddenly expect it to rise again after a bit of promo. Unless your name is Adele of course.

As for the lack of cohesiveness with her label regarding the single stuff - I can only trump that up to her change in management having teething problems or something like that. I get the feeling Gaga is insanely volatile behind the scenes - Interscope realize they're not going to making regular Gaga cash from the record so they're not going to do anything to annoy her before she embarks on the decently-selling world tour.

Gaga probably went through every song on the record before landing on GUY three days ago and deciding to go with it.

G.U.Y was planned as the third all along.
