I can see one or two max in China mainland, then a few in JPN. Then a random date in Singapore. Two max in Philippines.

Bae, it's one thing when it's well done. But Maxi your boy here uses default settings like Mike-Will-Made-It, and it actually sounded like an unpleasant mess. The grit in live instruments can't be compared to the flatness of electronics.
True creepy is your boy right here. He managed to be 12 yo girl so well in his fourties. True Creepy Uncle.
Plus, if he wants a drum sound, why don't just record a live drums track? Lazy fat bum.

Wasn't Her last Korea date not sold out?
I think we're lucky enough that She actually would go to Asia for this tour.

Well, according to wiki it did, it's just 4000 tix
She could easily sell out 2 or 3 dates in Singapore tbh, besides the venue size is like only 9k (and people from Malaysia will be running down over to Singapore I guess)

If you want to go just once, go on vacation. If you’re not going to come back, they’re going to forget about you.

According to wiki as well, the venue can handle much more than 4000 ppl. Great job at faking receipts from Ha team.
But yas. I say She can easily do 5 sold out shows in SG. Usually ppl from Malay, Indo, Thailand, and a few countries would flew there.

As for the person saying true fans care about the genre too much. It's the exact opposite.. We understand she can excel in almost anything she tries... We just don't want MM and SB because it's their songs in which she seems like a simpleton and her music is watered down.. Even Trouble's lyrics are watered down.. They could've been darker but no, lets keep it simple.. Her work with MM is BASIC (though Trouble is better than the other two) those who cannot see that, I'm sorry for you. I think we all agree that we care more about he lyrics but I think with MM and SB we expect to have stupid simple lyrics like 22 and WANEGBT It's got nothing to do with genre.. We've seen her do excellent pop... It's the quality... And let's face it.. We have the right to be angry because MM has not shown quality her her yet.
|
But the lyrics on Trouble, 22, WANEGBT are better and mean something than songs like What The Hell, International Smile, Your Body etc etc.. That was what i meant.

I can confirm that her show on South Korea was sold out.
Yeah it was a flop. Actually I was pleasantly surprised that there were more than 4000 people @ the show because no one cared about The Lord that time.
But right now Taylor is pretty popular here. The power of MM tbh

The Telegraph called her a role model. I'm REDy for the 53456760 negative think pieces this article will inspire saying that she's not

If I sound adoring, well, reader, I am. There is a lamentable paucity of young female role models who are not somehow embroiled in the promotion of soft ****. In this context, Swift markets genuine girl power: listening to and reflecting their woes, celebrating their fluffy-haired awesomeness, and literally reaching out to them from her O2 stage in a way guaranteed to cure the scrofula of adolescence.
As such, she appeals to the eternal teen in us all. My friend Dog, a Telegraph reader and heavy-metal fan who turns 50 in September, wanted AC/DC to perform at his birthday. Now it’s Swift. My eight-year-old niece’s life ambition is simply to be in the same room as her.

An article on the popification of country music:
Quote:
|
Blame it all on Taylor Swift. With her debut album in 2006, the now 24 year-old man-eating songstress singlehandedly introduced country music to the mainstream. Both “Teardrops on My Guitar” and “Our Song,” the highest charting singles from Swift’s eponymous release, were rearranged and re-recorded; gone were the sparse guitar-and-banjo accompaniments, replaced by punchy electric guitar rhythms and cascading percussion. These decidedly more radio-friendly mixes were then packaged and shipped off to Adult Contemporary and Top 40 formats worldwide, exposing audiences across all demographics to the new genre of pop-country.
|
Read the rest here. He says she's opened the doors for other country artists to crossover and stuff like that. The article is not exactly negative, it's more matter-of-fact-y.

Kii. Not even a SNSD member covering Her title track help to bump Her popularity?
But really? In my country, She's just as irrelevant as ever. After the half-hits that was "22". But even then with MM, She was not on the radio all the time like Gaga or Katy. So MM was pretty much useless too worldwide wise. Maybe he helped in Europe, but not so much in Asia I guess.
I can confirm this because I listen to radio whenever I'm driving, and last year I spent most of my time in Indonesia.

I do think Taylor-MM songs had an effect. Taylor was already very popular in here India but I heard many a times 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble which I didn't used to, on the radio while in car and also in KFC (how about she throws some KFC at us during her concerts). This channel called VH1 (which is the only channel showcasing English music in India) has played her music videos infinite no. of times. I have seen 22, I Knew You Were Trouble, Our Song, Last Time and Red music videos here.
So basically my point is that Taylor was already popular here (as you know once I was in a mall, all the singles from Speak Now including Mine, Back To December, Mean, Story Of Us and Sparks Fly; Ours wasn't released as a single then and it also played You Belong With Me, Love Story and White Horse). But 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble did bring more attention to Indian audience. After Red, her songs and music videos played/aired more often than ever.

She was already huge in Asia before Red, MM tracks aim to open the European market

The bolded part

No negativity on this site pls.
But really I agRIH.
TV/ Radio don't spin her singles (MM songs) more frequently than they do during the Speak Now era in Malaysia. Well maybe MM songs did chart higher on those irrelevant charts but those people who voted them aren't exactly the ones who buy ablums anyway.
