I don't think that we should assume that LP5 is going to flop. because Scott tweeted that it might not be released by Tay's 25 birthday. This doesn't mean there is a management issue, either. Of course, he won't say the direct release date because he doesn't what people knowing that date. It takes away from the surprise element. Who knows, maybe it will be a surprise release in May. We don't know exactly. But when it comes, I think people are going to be excited just the same. And forget the tabloids. Most people don't buy into them anyway. (well the less intelligent ones do) but I won't go there.

I don't think She's going to reach 4x platinum again. The closest anyone has come since RED is JT, and I think he's only around like 2.5M (for Part 1). Yonce and Eminem will probably lose steam around 2.5M as well (they're both in the 1.7M range now, give or take 100K).

It's the end of an era.

Yes, I think it depends on opening week. Even though first week is usually front loaded, what if she gets 3,000,000 first week (I'm dreaming, but just saying), then you never know.

If this album manages to even sell well over 3M, that's nothing to scoff at. Sales continue to get lower and lower each year, so it's not really her fault.

Yes! When you think about it, when you see bad comments about the Lord, it kind of ruins your day and you can't get out of that pissy feeling and so you think that the GP has it out for Tay, but it isn't the GP. Just remember, one thing. Those that leave stupid comments are actually morons and don't represent the general public at all.

It is like if you hear about a murder or robbery somewhere, and you automatically believe that the crime rate must be going up, but maybe it's actually going down. It's just that you got wrapped up in the bad story.

I truly think bad comments are just from a minority of the few people that happen to be haters.

I totally agree about how seeing bad comments can just get you in suh a BA mood. Not even the reasonable rational opinions like "I don't like her music" or "she doesn't appeal to me" but when people say things out of ignorance or sexism. I'm sorry anyone calling her a **** is coming from a sexist stan point. They're basically saying if a woman date more than 2 men when you're young and you don't marry any of them than you are a ****. It's outdated and sexist and it sucks when you can't say so.
But the thing we have to remember is that as Stan's we look for any comments good or bad about her. When I stanned for Katy I used to think she was the most hated in the music industry. Because I always looked for comments about her. I concentrated on her. But honestly if you look you can find year about any popular FEMALE. Monsters think she's now the laughing stock of the industry, A bey stan today made a thread just talking about what haters hate on her for, etc. Honestly she is no where near the level of Justin Bieber or Chris Brown. And the fact that she hasn't done anything substantially wrong like beating someone up, acting as making comments like a spoiled brat, anything illegal etc. I don't see any type of negativity she receives having long term effects on her career

True, Katy hasn't done anything to make people hate her, Neither has Taylor Swift. And I think bad comments are just jealousy, but you still get a lot of good comments too. Justin Bieber is a different story, though. I mean, I won't go out and bash him, but I've gone to web sites where there are like thousands of comments and they are all bad. I'm serious, almost every one. But, in his case, it is different, because, maybe he's becoming a Lindsay Lohan and people are either sympathetic or really brutal. But just saying.

Then appear to collect Ha Scammys and Oscars and go on a full media blackout. Like completly dissapear. No Facebook. No Twitter. No instagram no nothing.
