In the end Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson still did amazing jobs, but the material just wasn't that great.
And the lack of logic/consistency this season...
- If the next Supreme is supposed to be in such perfect health (to the point that Cordelia GREW NEW EYES... and developed flawless skin), why wasn't she able to conceive earlier in the season?
- If all those dozens and dozens of girls are witches, that implies there have always been way more witches than just the ones in the house. But you're telling me that out of the 5 living there, they just
happened to have the next Supreme? Like if Misty had been the next Supreme, they may have never known... if she hadn't come to them herself
And I will never get over the injustice they did Evan Peters this season. What a terrible and utterly POINTLESS character. The love triangle was not even remotely compelling, he had terrible material to work with, and his character inexplicably disappeared for episodes at a time.
Also there were never really any consequences to, well, anything. The Christian neighbor plot did nothing besides show Nan being tough. Spalding's doll thing, while creepy, ultimately did nothing. Kyle's character served no purpose. Everyone murdered each other at least once with no retribution (besides poor Myrtle). The list goes on...
