If you knew what you were talking about you would know that Same Love was recorded well before Macklemore saw fame and success, and was initially recorded in support for gay marriage rights when Washington was debating whether it should be legal or not. Again: was recorded in response to a LOCAL debate, but later went on to strike a chord and become a huge success.

I'm amazed that people are somehow able to take that and turn it into a bad thing. It's amazing. That's really the only way I can describe it.
