The instrumental in the verses is a lil bit annoying. But yes I live for TFM-voice she uses on G.U.Y. The way her vocals go from tranny vocal to poppy girly vocals is iconic, like she does it on Dance In The Dark, Alejandro, Poker Face, Born This Way, The Fame etc

I agree with some of these (specially the lyrics ones), but I really enjoy ARTPOP and it has some of my favorite Gaga songs ever. The main problem I see is the waste of oportunities + poor menagement + Gaga image as a whole (contradictions, this "godess of love" figure, unappealing looks, "everybody hates her"...).

I find ARTPOP better than BTW, don't kill me.

Like I said, online reception of the album has been negative. I've played a few songs to people who are indifferent to her and they didn't really enjoy it. This whole "everybody is against her111!!!" attitude needs to stop. Both her fans as her fans need to realize that she has declined really fast musically.

I was watching some of her early interviews too, she was such a cool chick. The way she'd talk and say things like "That's sick"…I want that persona back There's been like 2 moments this era I've seen her come through, but that's it.

Depends. BTW is a very New York record: heavy, unrelenting, grandiose, powerful.

ARTPOP is very clean, lush, gorgeous, and lilting. Also more melodic and harmonic than BTW, which was downright clunky in places.

The best songs on BTW are better than the best songs on ARTPOP, but the worst songs on BTW are truly the pits and ARTPOP doesn't have any remarkably bad songs.

The robotic tranny vocals + girly poppy vocals is her 'trademark' singing style! She stopped doing it for this album besides G.U.Y. for some reason

She's really hamming up the cheesy broadway music theater vocals instead (Fashion!, Gypsy, Dope) which just does not sound right in pop imo
Then there's also this grating voice she uses during the Manicure and Swine verses (her newfound 'rock' voice I guess)
And the vocals during the Applause verses are a class on their own

Gaga''s voice never used to bug me at all in the past she used to have the perfect pop voice

Yeah, I guess people aren't really here for ARTPOP. My friends who usually hate Gaga love some songs of the album though (DWUW, Gypsy and Venus).

I still believe the album isn't finished yet (some right promo could be really effective).

At least ARTPOP (and Gaga) is memorable. Sometimes I forget Prism exists. Sometimes I forget Katy exists, tbh.

Let's keep this thread about Gaga hihi. Anyhow, I think Gaga needs to musically reinvent herself. People are not here for dance pop anymore & her style of songwriting. Come back with a STRONG ballad or something. She would be adapting to musical trends but it's what she has to do as a pop star if she wants to remain relevant.
