I will NEVER allow Paul to touch that. I will march to Chicago and castrate him if he touches my holy anthem. He's done enough damage as a yes man, and despite my love of ARTPOP's actual music, him even considering reworking NOBTR would be treason of the most vile sort.
Well, Donatella have much bigger chance than NOPE ever going to have.
After the pre-sale was done it falled harder than an ROCK. Even when she
tried to perform, it didn't move up the charts at ALL.
Donatella is so much more fun and easy to relay to. When I think of Donatella
as an single, I think as an whole era of fashion, music video and performance.
It's FAR more memorable than most of the songs on ARTPOP and as I said:
If it's done right it can be an pretty good single.
AND gurl please, If you really think Donatella is going to push the GP away.
What you think Dope and Venus is going to do?
I'm not advocating any other song for single choice besides Gypsy. I'm just highlighting that realistically Donatella is so basic a song that even if it flops we can't say at least it's a great song that didn't do well, like we could have with Applause if it had of dropped like many assumed it would. Venus at least has the psychedelic production going on ala David Bowie, and Dope is the best songwriting on the album and has already been critically acclaimed hence they both have a better shot at being hits than Donatella, a song about a woman most people don't give a crap about; she's a brand, not a person we want to hear a song about whose lyrics are half unintelligible and half incomprehensible.
The stanning for Venus I could understand because it had performances, it's Gaga produced, Gaga adores the song, it was meant to be the second single, many assumed there was a MV in the wings for it (), etc...
But Donatalla... I don't get this stanning. Nobody who stans for that song can ever moan when Gaga's charting or sales slump like they did for the past two weeks because songs like Donatella are the exact reason why it's happening. Gaga would never have put a monstrosity like it on TFM.
NOBTR would brutally murder any and all competition, and it's been the secret weapon she didn't even know she had since October 2010.
When all is said and done, if she has in fact regained her bearing on what her career is and where she needs to take it, then regardless of success we WILL get to see that song's release someday. That song is my gospel and the second greatest thing she never released bar the Holy Grail that is OOC.
.......... yeah I guess I'm still too much of a monster for my own good
Look who's back! I know we sometimes inflate a little with Gagz, but 365M records for Madge?
it'll never be over tbh. she'll never give up, and I'm happy about that. Xtina's still at it after 4 flop eras right?

Eh I really don't even have a big preference at this point, I see pros and cons in all 3 choices tbh
Gypsy
Pros: Great lyrics, nothing off putting about it, normal, catchy
Cons: Maybe too safe, won't stand out.
Venus
Pros: One of her catchiest choruses ever, unusual and weird lyrics that will make it stand out.
Cons: The verses and the bridge are REALLY weird.….takes some growing on.
Dope
Pros: Different from any other single she's released, critically acclaimed, great lyrics.
Cons: Those gritty weird vocals.
when you put it like that I really don't care either. I've just gotten back into Dope tbh and I think I may prefer it to Gypsy, but idk. Gypsy I feel like won't stand out. Maybe if they label is smart they'll re-record Dope for radio (with the premise of taking out that one curse word at the beginning "****ed up again" ) and make her sing with less gritty lyrics for radio, and also fix those terrible last ten seconds
If they magically do that, it could be her mini Stay tbh
Nothing On But The Radio would SLAY. And lets not forget that 2 years ago she played a remastered version of NOBTR in her car in Chicago.
Lets hope DJWS is not the producer of the remastered version....
i can't at ya'll still hating on paul
his productions are amazing. ARTPOP has the best production of any of her albums, and it's thanks to gems like Applause, DWUW, Swine, ARTPOP (production wise) which are all DJWS productions

I still dont know why she played it in her car. Usually when she plays a song in her car it ends being on the new album. Like she played Bad Kids and ARTPOP. I really hope NOBTR is on the new album..not on act 2 because it will flop anyway (IMO )and nobody will be aware of this perfection
