Shakira has a long established history with Pepsi. She had a Pepsi deal even in 1998, 3 years earlier than Britney Spears, who was the first Pop star of that generation to get a deal. And then she had an even bigger international deal with Pepsi in 2002 when she made commercials in both English and Spanish.
If they want to have a global ambassador again, Shakira is great.
