His suspension will allegedly lead to “an automatic failure from absences,” and he will not be able to graduate come June.
|
that's so sad
He better sue the **** out of that school and beat the **** out of the guy who gave the tapes to the principal

I don't think people are necessarily supporting him doing ****, they just don't think he should be suspended for it. He should still be allowed to graduate.

It doesn't have to be advertised on the street or in public, the fact that anyone and everyone can see it is the problem. If I set up a hateful website, and I am exposed, I don't need to be advertising my website in public, to face consequences. Even though it's legal, and nobody is forced to look at it. anybody and everybody can see it, and it can damage the schools reputation being associated with a racist/sexist etc. Although what you're saying is coming from a good place, it's not exactly realistic now, is it?

|
The first paragraph is literally not even close to the point I was trying to make.
As to the second, no, I don't believe that your hateful actions would automatically be associated with whatever school you go to, and the only way I can see them punishing you is if you threatened any of their other students and posed a safety risk. He does not pose a safety risk and I don't believe he is automatically associated with his school when someone hears he does ****.
What I'm saying is entirely realistic bar the point about nobody seeing or caring - that may have been a bit out there.

I don't think the school should promote the dumb ass decision, Noel's parents dropped the ball on that one however I don't think the school should have gotten involved
did his parents know that their son was in ****?

Whether what he did was tacky or distasteful is irrelevant to the discussion.
The question is to whether or not the school was in their legal rights to dismiss him.
This is a PUBLIC school. He has the right to sue and have this expulsion expunged as well as graduate on time as a result.

Poor guy
Still, as a student he does have a responsibility to represent the school even outside of school activities. When I was at school they could even exclude you if they found inappropriate content on your Facebook, even if it had nothing to do with school. They do have the right to suspend him. Although what he's doing is perfectly legal, so I'm not sure where the law stands with this.

I'm not saying what the school did was right, but it's not exactly a good look for a school to have someone that's publicly known as a **** star amongst the students.

People aren't necessarily supporting his decision to do ****, but rather most of us are supporting his rights to privacy and a continued public education despite the choice of doing ****. It would be different if we were talking about employment status; that's a totally separate idea, you know? But in the public school sphere, he should be allowed to continue his education rather than failing his senior year and more-or-less ruining his future prospects entirely.

What does this have to do with his education? As long as he's not doing any stuff on campus then why do people care? He should sue.

Why is his fault because some kids were watching his bareback videos and embarrassed him?

They need to show that they aint here for it, or they will look bad. It's that simple. And there aint nothing private about online **** .

I get where you're coming from, but I really strongly disagree that the school can't simply let him continue his education and justify that by saying that his private career matters and his private relationship with another business or institution are simply not their business.
