Diddy is The Worst, but he deserves a lot of credit for his decisions in MTB (cutting the first batch and assembling these girls). What makes them so good is that every voice is so distinct and different. Particularly now D.Forest (a decent singer but the only generic and uninteresting voice) has been cut down, they have 2 mezzo sopranos a contralto and Shannon is probably a contralto or low mezzo as well as completely different musical influences Aubrey with Pop, Drea with Hispanic, Shannon with Country, Dawn with RnB/Hip Hop.
Now they've all gone away and (well, aside from Drea. Sorry.) have become real musicians, this album will be one of the best of 2014. I have no doubt.

Yeah, I always thought 5 members were too many. Should have always been four.
Originally, I thought Shannon would be the one I'd cut...but NO WAY now. She's stepped it up 10x since being away.
D. Woods was definitely the most generic singer, and was likely picked to appeal to Urban (aka, she got body). But Dawn got that on lock now...both hot body and appealing to Urban audience
SN: I honestly wanted Melissa Smith (Molinaro) in the group more than I wanted D. Woods. But I guess there's no reason crying over spilled milk.
