Despite there being a huge amount of Hispanics in the US I feel most of them don't favor or like Latin influenced pop music which is why Latin Artists seem to be struggling. I have Spanish friends and most of them don't speak about J.Lo or Shakira I hear Pitbull but only on occasion.

It's so weird to me too considering she was HUGE back in her day.
And what's weird to me is most hate Rihanna but glorify Beyoncé when most of them are far more trashy than Rihanna is. Rihanna kinda pays the black community dust tho and most of them are ignorant that she's not African American but Carribean. They sell her as a sellout because she appears to have different values than Beyoncé and doesn't make "soul" music when she grew up with reggae music and hip hop unlike Bey.
Bey grew up with hip hop though. She's far more "hood" than Rihanna will ever be.

Shakira's selling power has decreased a lot in the US. You better be grateful she decided to collaborate with Rihanna. Had she returned to the studio with Beyonce, CRTFU woulda flopped harder than you can even imagine
