Why Act II when Act I is flopping. Do flop movies get sequels? I mean, the logic and sense these people use to take decitions...
It's not illogical. It's damage control.
Act II allows them to get new material out there quickly without having to revamp her brand (addressing the criticism that her act and sound is tired) which would take time and consideration.
It gives them a chance to get some hits out to sell the tour, whilst maintaining the same era name for cohesion.
It provides them the oppertunity to combine the potential success of Act II with Act I and cushion that underperformance. Combined sales, general era conclusion etc.
If they play this smartly, it's a good move. If they don't and haven't learnt anything from Act I then it'll be a wasted oppertunity.
They can't **** around now. They need to pull out the big guns. Hitmakers, fancy directors, major deals, payola. STRATEGY.

DJWS isn't a mistake. He's not a sure bet, but he's delivered some of her best songs post-TFM. He could end up having 2 songs on Act II, or none at all. We thought AP would be BTW 2.0 after she went straight back into the studio with Fernando but he didn't make it.
He is just one producer, anyway. If she was talking more RedOne, Madeon, Zedd and Will.i.Am, I'd be concerned. He's shown far more scope than the others have, let's be honest. Bloody Mary, Government Hooker, Do What U Want, Sexxx Dreams, Applause, ARTPOP...

I just think to get other producers, turn the game around, she needs more TIME.
She hasn't even had enough time (...) to release the DWUW video. Let alone shoot another single and promote it.
There is not even a new Tour Poster (how long can it take? 3 days with editing?).
And she needs to start rehearsing for the tour, preparing intros etc.
I just don't see where in there she has time to actually make good, new songs in between.
IKR they even had a poster from TFM in Scream 4. If they make a 5, she should definitely look into getting a role.
Did you actually know, that in the original script (which was leaked) in the first scene Kirby is in the car, someone has the Telephone ringtone and one of the girls goes "Can we hate her yet?" or something like that.
