Yeah, if this era is a commercial failure I'll be so upset with her perfectionism. (Even as I'm getting my life from the music.)
She herself has even said that 1991 + Fantasea was pretty much equivalent to a debut album in her mind (hence why she feels BWET is practically a sophomore effort that has deserved all the time it's gotten in the making), so in a sense it's a little unfortunate it actually wasn't. Cuz all this talk about the head negress how she's never gonna have a debut… it hurts
