Actually, you can see more on the show because you're not limited to only seeing the events that happen around those characters who have POVs.
That too. But what I mean is you sort of get to see a character's inner thoughts. Get to know them better. Like I for one HATED Cersei, I still do, but after reading her POV, I understand her better. Both watching and reading gives one the full experience, imo.

YASSS!! i am not the only one silently applauding and laughing at Cercei!! her POV chapters were a huge revelation of her charachter tbh.. best POV of book 4!
George R.R. Martin is confirmed to have written episode two. Anyone else think that might mean that THAT happens in ep 2?

no, there are plenty of people out there with more gender-equal worlds with badass women. Joss Whedon, Robert Jordan, Ronald D. Moore, I could go on.
But they're not realistic at all, they're utopian. They're trying to change the reality of the society by creating those fantasy world where woman are equals to man or even superior.
GRRM is not doing that, it's basically our world with woman who fights and try to stand out in a man's world.
To me it's more feminist than any utopian bullcrap world.
