The difference in ratings from Season 2 to 3 is too significant on a network like FX for them not to take notice. So even if Ryan wants to make it darker he'll probably be at the mercy of the network.

but imo Murder House is the scariest season. Asylum is scary yes but Murder House made me have nightmares

AHS could definitely steal from The Walking Dead and create a post-apocalyptic season.

I am a fan of all 3 seasons, but Asylum was clearly the best.

Coven has yet to have any episodes as good or powerful as Spilt MIlk or Madness Ends. I was personally satisfied with all of the character arcs. Jude's final scene gave me chills and Lana Winters was the best character in the show's history. I am hoping Season 4 goes in a darker and scarier direction, because that is what works best for the series.

Coven is by far the messiest season. It started promising, but then just got overloaded with all these damn characters. Some of which have already come and gone without any sort of satisfaction. I'm hoping the last 3 episodes wrap everything together well enough that I feel satisfied with the season as a whole.

Zoe and Kyle may very well be the worst storyline in AHS history. Can anybody honestly say they are invested in them?

I feel like this season could be made into a series. I hope everything ties in nicely at the end.

I agree that Asylum was the best season and Coven is getting messy. What was the point of the crazy religious mum plot line? What was the point of Stevie Nicks? What was the point of the ax man? Or Evan Peters? So many weird unconnected plot lines. Its like Game of Thrones.

Also Stevie said in an interview that her scenes where terrifying....maybe she'll make another appearance in the next episode? Wasnt nothing scary about sitting at a piano. Unless she meant her singing.

Yes, way too many plot lines. Like Hello said, they could make it into a series with everything that's going on. This is why I liked Murder House the most. It wasn't all over the place. And Violet realizing she's dead remains the best moment of the series.

100% agree. Tate trying to get her to kill herself so she wouldn't find out amazing.

Last episode was pretty weak tbh ..There is no plot .All they are doing is confusing the viewers and beating around the bushes ..

Asylum , even though with it's multiple story line , they never crossed each other but coven is just hot cauldron of mess

What about a Futuristic Utopian/Dystopian society for the fourth season?! AHS keeps playing with the past and present, but never the future. That'd be so cool, and he could go in so many directions!
