Well hopefully you never have to deal with any type of depression 'cause then you'll see just how hard it is. It's strange that so many fans seem to not care about her personal well being over things such as "being strong". When you're depressed, you're depressed, and she is clearly depressed right now. Depression sucks, I will tell you first hand, so right now all I care about is her getting better.
Oh please, save the scolding on my lack of empathy please. I care about her well being as much as I healthily should for her being a celebrity that i've never met in my life.
I don't wish ill on her and I want her to be happy like I want anyone to be happy, but at the same time she is a public figure to me of which her self-pitying within the public eye I find unappealing. If you're one of those lame stans that wants to consider me a "bad fan" because Im willing to admit that sometimes she obviously comes off too vulnerable than whatever man.
And wtf do you know about depression in my life? I feel as though ive battled some form of depression my entire life, don't ****ing scold me about not understanding depression.
Gaga said DWUW is about how the media talks about her and Marilyn is the perfect subject of that. Marilyn's entire image was created by the media. She was a drug-addicted woman who had sex with everyone, but because of how the media portrays her people see her as some iconic Hollywood darling. That is literally what DWUW is all about.
Gaga's theme for Paparazzi was Princess Diana dying. She wanted to have a car crash onto the set but MTV wouldn't let her so she did the chandelier instead. Just like with JFK and Marilyn, it was predictable and cliche as all hell. Gaga's vocals were rocky and aided by live pitch correction, her choreo was messy at best, and she didn't look all that good either.
Had Gaga delivered a performance like that now, she'd be torn to shreds.
Are you ****ing kidding me, like are you serious. You DON'T consider the Marilyn performance a cliche? Are you ****ing kidding me? THAT is not a cliche to you? Its so overdone! Could she have chosen a less interesting way to bring that song to life on stage? I mean honestly.
You explain it as if it wasn't obvious, I mean please. And the way you're in such denial about how well the Paparazzi performance worked I mean....I don't respect your opinion at all no offense. We're really just going to have to agree to disagree.
It's the first song she produced on her own. It was also recorded very late in the process. Her newest thing.
However, changing the single was just the first step. It reflected everything that went wrong behind the scenes FOR HER. She didn't want to be told what to do and express her visions the way she wants it.
That fight and struggle happened mostly during the Venus promo time I guess and therefore Venus is no longer just a song but her struggle to break free and therefore she is obsessed with it.
All the venus looks have grown on me including the European ones
Btw isn't this from the TFM era
And y'all were trying to drag the flawless paper mâché Venus while stanning that
Yeah that look was from the Alejandro era and in its defense the outfit itself was kind of cool and looked really expensive whereas most of Gagas Venus looks are totally arts and crafts imo. BUT it is pretty ugly I guess haha her makeup/hair anyway.

She wore it when she came in Italy for The Monster Ball while artistically acting depressed. I will never forgive her for that so tear these uglies to pieces, Marius!

can you imagine the draggings if she released this today
Right? Back then people supported her vision so she executed everything perfectly. Now that her own fans have turned against her she's like, "wtf do I do?"

Well if you understood, the last thing on your mind would be victim blaming her and implying she's asking for pity and whatnot. Her being a public figure doesn't negate the fact that's still a human being with feelings and expecting her to keep her issues bottled up is not understanding anything. Gaga relies on her fans more than any other popstar, which you could argue is a bad thing, which is why she reaches out to us when she's sad.
