1) Most people who come for/constantly shade Beyonce are secretly jealous because no matter how many number ones are written/produced for their fave(s), he/she will never be as respected by the industry or GP for their talent. Thus, whenever she isn't slaying, fans of the less talented girls flock in and try to get as many kicks in while she's down as they can
1.5) Related to the above, the majority of stan wars and draggings on atrl/the internet operate under this archetype, in which there is talent (Beyonce, Gaga, Xtina, etc) vs more marketable mass appeal/success (Rih, Katy, Brit, etc). You see very little in-fighting these days between the hive, with monsters, fighters, even underdogs, daydreamers or lambs, if it happens it's usually confined to one thread. It's always the other ones trying to shade them
2) Being edgy/shady doesn't make you real. Being sweet and humble doesn't make you fake. Some people really are genuinely nice, and don't have to #clapback at anyone who comes for them on social media, because it's simply not in them

It's just as marketable, if not more, in this trash reality tv era to market yourself as the former for commercial gain.
