I grew up around mostly white people as well. I have never met anyone who hated themselves in person, it's only online I've encountered that tomfoolery. You don't have to be a walking stereotype to feel "black". You can be who you are, hang around whoever, and do whatever, and still have pride in your background. I have more Asian and Hispanic friends than black friends
(although my black friends are more fun
) but that doesn't mean I sit around here acting like black people suck and that I don't wanna claim them etc... No. I still enjoy my background and rich culture.
