Hi everyone.

I finally got around to listening to BEYONCE and just felt like sharing some of my opinions on it. I didn't post it in the album thread cuz people usually frequent Base more so...
Ranking from favorite to least favorite:
Partition (I'm a sucker for stripper anthems

)
Drunk In Love
Heaven
Jealous
XO
Pretty Hurts
Haunted
Blow
***Flawless
No Angel
Blue
Mine
Superpower
Rocket
Partition is fantastic. Great intro as well. Drunk In Love is probably elevated for me because I've heard it a lot more than the rest of the tracks since it's the biggest radio hit off the record so far, so perhaps that's why I like the most after Partition. Heaven is just beautiful all around.

Very touching and breathtaking. Jealous is SO underrated.

It reminds me of Start Over [which is my favorite song off of 4, a very unpopular opinion

]. XO, Pretty Hurts, and Haunted are all very good too. Pretty Hurts is probably the most generic song on the album, especially since it was produced by Ammo, but generic isn't a bad thing.
Blow has disco elements, and you can NEVER go wrong with some disco.

***Flawless gets REALLY good once that feminist speech kicks in, the first half is weaker.

No Angel is just there for me.

Blue is cute, too. Mine is saved by the second half. The first half is weaker. I think Drake was stronger on the track than Beyonce.
Rocket is really the only song I couldn't get into. I didn't really remember what it sounded like after the first listen and that for me is one of the most detrimental factors when it comes to determining whether I like a song or not. There's also the fact that it's too long.
Overall, I think 4 has higher highs [End of Time, Countdown, Start Over] but BEYONCE is more consistent as doesn't have songs that I dislike as much as I Miss You, Rather Die Young, and Party. Not to mention the fact that I have yet to watch all the music videos, so once I do that, I imagine the songs will become even better for me.
P.S. Sorry for the long ass discourse.
